As members, we log into the server when we enter. There
are a couple of reasons for this:

- Nobody can impersonate you (it’s happened)
- To be able to do “member only” commands (eg: Mute, Kick, Nosafe)
- To ensure that your stats are not tampered with by the general public.
- Any other future cosiderations.
In your user.ini file, located in ‘Rune\System’, add the following
lines under the categories shown below:

> [DefaultPlayer]
> .
> .
> .
> password=xxxxxxx
> where password=xxxxxxx is your password for [lowcaliber.com](http://lowcaliber.com).
> In addition edit the following line:
> [Engine.PlayerPawn]
> .
> .
> .
> password=xxxxxxx

> command. The pLogin command has three parts which you should issue in
> the following order, try:

1. pLogin by itself; if this doesn’t work try
2. pLogin + password; if this still doesn’t work try
3. pLogin + username + password as a last resort.
At the very worst, you may have to bind a key to issue pLogin when you
get on the server; we’re working on the automatic authentication process
but we believe we’ve encountered some native limitations in the Rune
code. (See [Authentication Fix](https://forum.lowcaliber.com/t/authentication-fix/2419)).

Some users also need to specify their “arena password” in their member profile on [lowcaliber.com](http://lowcaliber.com). When all else fails, don’t hesitate to ask questions.
