Holy crap, Duff! You sure as fuck know how to pick them!

Awesome case, RAM, CPU, mobo, PSU, almost everything. That case, mobo & CPU are the same ones I will be getting being that I get the money. However, I’ll be buying the Radeon X800 XT. If you’re on a budget, go for the 9800 PRO, not sure if 256mb is an absolute must. By the way, check the core speed and memory speed on that video card, it looks 20mhz underclocked.

Now you did make a big mistake right here. Your Seagate 160gb 7200rpm IDE HDD. It has a 2mb buffer, you gotta watch that crap. Try to find one with an 8mb buffer, it sucks to be one step under par. Another thing “slightly under par” is your sound card. I myself use a SB Audigy2 ZS Gamer LE and it has been a dream, I recommend you do the same if your budget permits. No reason not to go ZS really, you might not like being that little bit under… the best of the best is just a few bucks more.

Good choice on the monitor, however the max resolution is extremely low… [TigerDirect.com](http://TigerDirect.com) has some cheap shet that runs beautifully. Refurbished of course… my HP P930 19" 1920x1440@60hz monitor was only $170 there… you can get a 17" @ 1600x1200 max for the same price, same quality as well. If you don’t want to, fine.

The headset, speakers, dvd+/-rw, webcam… all great crap. I had the same webcam and it shat out on me, cost me about the same. Printer is OK if it suits your needs, I’ve always hated multifunction printers but as long as you like it it is fine.

Oh, and just try getting the WinXP Pro SP1 xbetas release from overnet or something, you should NEVER pay for an OS at that price .

All in all, awesome site choice, I buy mostly all of my stuff from newegg and it never fails. Actually, in my old member picture you can see me wearing a NewEgg T-Shirt. Be sure to get one of those, they kick ass. Either way, good luck with this thing.. and great choices, I was really being picky here, it actually is a killer rig.

see…when it comes to vid card, i think this one will last me a while, hard drive, i really don’t care, right now i have a 60GB 7200 RPM Maxtor that is full, so i just want something big…sound, i really don’t care that much seeing as how i am using onboard sound right now…monitor, i think i would be pretty happy with any viewsonic monitor cause mine sucks balls right now, and printer, i pretty much need an all in one cause i’m moving in to a dorm room in a couple weeks and i will be without a printer/scanner/copier so anything will do, and i just want to stick with XP pro cause it’s what i have had for a couple years and i like it…thanks for the input
