Nearly forgot, when I make a server, what do I need to do to get the skin to show and the light saber? I put all the files on my brothers computer and tried it over a LAN but, it refused to work. How do I make my servers so I can summon? I would really like to know because then I can summon the blue saber for my enimies.

If you want your sword to appear:
Open your Rune.ini file in your system directory scroll down to where it says:
[Engine.GameEngine] and type
ServerPackages=sword (where sword is the name of the sword file)
When you’r in the game log in as admin and type summon sword.sword.
For the skin:
2.Then open your runeI.int (in the System folder) file and go to:
[public] and add:
Object=Name(skiname.skiname,Class=Class,MetaClass=RuneI.RunePlayer, Description=“My Skin”)
3.Open your rune.ini file and go to:
[Engine.GameEngine] line and add:
ServerPackages=skiname
This should do it; now the skin is available on your server.
..and i almost forgot: copy the files of the skin/sword in the specific folders: .ums to Meshes; .uax to Sounds;.utx to textures; .u and .int to System.

Hehehe..interesting ideea (a robot wielding a sword). It can be done, but i’m not sure if the robot will move realistic enough. BTW how’s the bar coming? U r set on the wendol room, or Fisty is doing a new one from scratch?

Do you have experience with 3D graphics? Main thing is: we need a model in 3DStudio format with a few limbs for animation. At the very minimum R2D2 can be in his “roll” mode which doesn’t require moving parts, but it would be nice to have detachable, functional arms and rotating head. Sounds and lights we can worry about later. Are there any copyright issues to be aware of?

Both of them are ongoing and not necessarily exclusive: I’m waiting to hear word from Fisty that he’s satisfied with the shape of the bar; and indeed, he has accomplished some nice things. One major advantage of Fisty’s (in addition to being “home-grown”) is its Å“conomical size – we remember how difficult it was to get kids to DL a 3 MB Torch map. The most important thing now is that you receive Poser; then maybe we can finally collaborate on some “skin”.
RuneChess will also be a co-present endeavor (as long as the Arena is in a stable state).

Now ya tell me hehe, I was just gonna keep adding more till I was told to stop lol!
Within limits of course but I do so love to re-decorate and re-re-decorate ad infinitum…Woooohaw!
Next time you see that there Pub tell me if it’s good enough and we’ll sort out der final details.
