Statement to all problems by Wintermoon

First I want to say, that this post is well considered and overthought. I’m just a human like all the others and if I have done something wrong, so here my apologizes. I will now try to tell what I think about all our problems, what solution there might be and so on.

First I request that we set the server back to 7, because with 9 it doesnt works very well. It also seems to outweight the honor-fighters; e. g. more lamers, fraghungry fighters join.

I’m thinking about to make a real hard decission. Whats about times? I mean lets make times for guest, where lamers can join and make times for honor fights, duells where people can come there and play with honor. It s enoying when I join and three THREE people ask me for help, that I cant give (the account doesnt works with me) and that they are nice fellows and they must suffer those idiotic fragging.

I can bear the urge to yell at them and I can ignore them a while, thats no problem, but I dont wantto lose the good players. Remember all of our clubmembers cant be online at the same time and there really good non-members, who are kindly strangers, as you might say. I like them and I dont want to miss them! So we cant do the password thing. Is it possible that you can count someones kills? I mean at a vertain rate Kills/per minute you can say he’s laming, because a fair duell needs time. I would say that would be maybe a solution, that those people get kicked automatically. And When you want FFA you could disable that maybe.

I agree that we shouldnt arguee and fight against each other and try to get the thing under controll. I respect and understand your ideals Unter and I see that you are right. But right now we maybe should do other ways, because if this will be as it is, we will lose good players and than I or other will say: Hey what’s the hell, nobody cares for duells, so I give up and go.

This would be a shame, but it could occur.

There is also the diea to have an irc-channel (maybe on quakenet) were those people could ask for the current password or so. Ok we also need maybe a webpage for the club, because the MSN-Club will not be enough, soon I guess.

I think that Bitorin maybe overreacted as the thing got out of controll, so I think we should give him another chance. I guess the idea of silent kicking and banning is better; because if they know who is ablte to do that, they will look that you arent there and as I said before not all members are on at the same time.

I would look forward to discusss this in a chat or so. I would come at anytime, only when I’m not at home, which will be the case from time to time!

Greetings and best hopes

Wintermoon

If you find worth in my words, again I say that to silent kick/ban is a horrible, HORRIBLE mistake!! To simply kick/ban people is awfully unfair, to those if warned, might choose to redeem themselves, or behave… I strongly recommend against this! I think Unter was on the relatively right track, that kick/banning should simply be avoided (yes, I do believe I over-reacted – can you blame me? I hope everyone realizes how much work I have to do (no, a good portion of it cannot simply be let go, it needs to be taken care of, if the arena is to run smoothly and be enjoyable for everyone), in my position – I was already doing it before I even joined the De Petit Calibre, as a honorable traveling warrior), but that in the worse of times, when agreed upon by the residents in the arena, or the agreement of a fellow admin’, then, an individual of poor attitude would be kick/banned…

I’m sorry for the stress, lads… We live in bitter times, even in our fantasies, it seems.

With care, I. Isaac Abeita (Duke Bitorin Strativun, of the De Petit Calibre)…

Just lol. Sure they get many warnings, but than bang they kicked, after two or three times they will be kicked again. I thought that was obvious …
