Xfire Rune Support [Hacked]
Unfortunately, as of right now, there is no official support for Rune on Xfire. However, due to some tremendous work by Pencil, -=HHFO=- Mace, and [MOC]SpAzDiK we have been able to successfully get some Rune Support.
As according to the readme.txt that’s included with the zip file, two games are overriden to make this possible: True Crime and DeusEx. Just copy the .ini and .ico files to the appropriate Xfire directory and viola!
The known bugs with this crude “hack” is that that Xfire’s web stats record that you were playing True Crime and DeusEx rather than Rune and Rune HOV. Also, people that do not have the updated ini file see you as playing True Crime or DeusEx. At times, even though you’ve signed off Rune, Xfire thinks you’re still playing. This is easily fixed by a simple “log off, log on”.

XFire Rune Support [Official]
As of June 24, 2004 [sometime between 3:00PM & 10:00PM EST], XFire put up their update which finally includes Rune support. It goes without saying that this accomplishment took much work from all parts of the Rune community (LCC, HHFO, MOC, FF, JuNN) to achieve; however, it was all worth it. Now everyone in the Rune community can use XFire freely with no worries as Rune support is here to stay. The “XFire Rune Hack” [originally by Pencil, modified by HHFO’s Mace] is now, fortunately, expendable; those wishing to use Rune with XFire can be in good conscience now as what’s done is done. Enjoy it.
